Men's soccer falls to Biola, 2-1 in double overtime

MOBILE, Ala. -- After scoring a goal to tie the game at 1-1 and playing a man up throughout the overtime, the University of Mobile (4-3-1) lost a heartbreaker, 2-1 on Saturday night to Biola University at home.

Biola University played both periods of overtime with only ten players on the field after Christian Rus received a red-card late in the second half.

Mobile’s Mark Robinson tied the game at 1-1 in the 78th minute on a free kick from 25 yards but Biola's Dylan Martinez connected on a cross from Omar Villablanca in the 109th minute for the game-winner.

The Rams drop to 4-3-1 and will look to rebound against regional foe and 7th-ranked William Carey College in the nightcap of Tuesday’s double-header.
