Mobile defeats Bellevue, 1-0

MOBILE, Ala. -- Juhani Koivuranta scored a goal off a header in the 9th minute of the game and that was all the help the Rams would need as the University of Mobile (6-3-1) defeated Bellevue University, 1-0, Saturday night at home in The Jungle.

After taking the ball into the far right corner, Junior Pamponette sent a beautiful cross into the center of the 18-yard box to Koivuranta, who put the ball away.

Mobile out-shot the Bruins 18-11 in the game.

Freshman goalkeeper, Alessandro Barcherini, saved three shots in recording his first shutout of the year.

Mobile runs its record to 6-3-1 on the season and will next be in action on Saturday, Oct. 9 when the Rams square off against Mid-Continent College at home at 5:30 p.m.
