Pair of Rams Earn Player of the Week Honors

MOBILE, Ala-- The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced Wednesday morning that Adrian Rochofski was named the GCAC and Region XIII Defensive Player of the Week, and Ruben Diaz was named GCAC and Region XIII Offensive Player of the Week.

Rochofski, one week removed from winning the NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week award, picked up the honor after leading his team to a 3-0 record on the week, while picking up two more shutouts. The Germany native shutout GCAC foe William Carey and John Brown University, and helped beat Webber International 2-1.

The senior averaged 3.33 saves per game and now has 6 shutouts on the season.

Diaz, who leads the Rams with 6 goals on the season, scored 3 goals in the 3 games on the week. The freshman forward notched a pair of goals at William Carey, and then opened scoring with a rocket from deep against Webber International.

The #11 Rams are 7-2-1 on the season and have won 7 straight games.
