Men's soccer receives bid to NAIA National Tournament
MOBILE, Ala. -- The University of Mobile men's soccer
team received a bid to the 2004 NAIA National Tournament
the NAIA National Office announced on Monday. The Rams, which
won the National Championship just two seasons ago, will open up the
tournament
as the
No. 8 seed and will face No. 9 seed Azusa Pacific University (16-1-2)
on Friday, Nov. 19 at 11 a.m.
Mobile, which lost to Berry College 2-1 last week in
the Region XIII Semifinals, received one of five at-large bids
after having one of the highest Longo (ratings system) ratings in the
country.
Three teams from Region XIII, Mobile, Berry College and
Auburn University Montgomery, all received bids to the 20 team tournament.
Opening round games begin on Wednesday, Nov. 17.
