Pair of Rams Named All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A pair of University of Mobile men’s soccer players were named to the 2008 Brine-NAIA Men's Soccer All-America Teams, as selected by the NAIA Men's Soccer All-America Selection Committee. There are three teams in addition to an honorable mention list.

Matt Watts was tabbed as a 2nd-team member, while Ruben Diaz was named Honorable Mention All-American. It is the second straight year for both on the honorary squad, as Diaz was a 3rd-team member last season and Watts was an honorable mention selection.

Watts, a senior, was named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year earlier this season as a defender and found time to add 5 goals and 5 assists. Diaz led the team in scoring with 12 goals and 12 assists.

Mobile finished the season 13-7-2 and lost in the Elite 8 of the NAIA National Tournament.
