Peter Fuller

Peter Fuller begins his 15th season at the University of Mobile and has compiled a 309-112-27 career record, with a 195-82-16 mark at Mobile.

The river of coaching experience and accolades runs deep for the three-time NAIA Coach of the Year. Fuller is the only coach to garner NAIA National Coach of the Year honors at two different institutions; one in 1992 with Belhaven College and two at Mobile in 1999 and 2002. With a career that includes winning an NAIA national championship with Belhaven in 1992 and taking Houghton College to the NAIA National Quarter Finals in 1994, Fuller arrived at Mobile in 1995 and in 2002 captured his second NAIA national championship.

Fuller was also an accomplished player, achieving NAIA All-American status as a defender and midfielder for Houghton College in 1979 and 1980. Fuller followed up a stellar collegiate career with a professional soccer career by being a First Draft Pick for the New York Eagles. Fuller also played professionally for the Rochester Flash, Memphis Americans, Sports Life and Jackson Rockers. Between 1979 and 1986, Fuller played in twenty-seven countries on eight different tours representing various organizations, including the United States.

Fuller earned a B.A. in Religion from Bethany Bible College and a B.S. in Physical Education from Belhaven College. He has an M.S. in Coaching from the National Coaching Institute of Canada. His coaching credentials and experience are as extensive and diversified as his education. Fuller attained a "B" License from the Canadian Soccer Association in 1988 and also has a "C" license. He attended the National Coaching Institute of Canadian High Performance Coaches Symposium in June of 1987.

 

Assistant Soccer Coach

Remi Roy

A native of New Brunswick, Canada, Remi Roy is one of the best goalkeepers to have ever worn a University of Mobile uniform. He earned NAIA All-American honors playing on the 1999 squad that lost in the national championship game of the NAIA National Tournament.

Roy has also played for the PDL Spokane Shadow, Jackson Chargers, and the Des Moines Menace. A consummate professional, Roy brings invaluable experience and knowledge of what it takes to be a very technically sound goalkeeper.

Roy is a graduate of the University of Mobile with a degree in Science and Physical Education. He has devoted nine years in playing for his Canadian province and has served as the UM goalkeeping coach since the fall of 2000.

Roy has a USSF “A”, a Level I and Level II goalkeeping licenses.

Assistant Soccer Coach

Matt Watts

Matt Watts will begin his first season as assistant coach at the University of Mobile after two years playing for the Rams. The defender earned NAIA All-American honors both seasons at Mobile after transferring from Lynn University, and led the Rams to the NAIA National Tournament both seasons, culminating with a trip to the NAIA Elite 8 last season.

The native of London, England is pursuing a degree in communications and broadcasting. In 2008, Watts started all 22 games for Mobile, tallying 5 goals and 5 assists, while knocking home 4-of-4 penalty kicks and notching a pair of game-winners. In 2007, he started 17 games and totaled 6 goals and 4 assists for Mobile.

He was named GCAC Player of the Year in 2008, and was a 1st-Team All-GCAC member both years while leading the Mobile defense.
