Peter
Fuller

Head Soccer Coach, University of
Mobile
Coach Peter Fuller has done it all as a coach, and by virtue of that alone, it is safe to say that he is without a doubt one of the best men's collegiate soccer coaches in the country as he enters his ninth season with Mobile. With a B.A. in Religion from Bethany Bible College and a B.S. in Physical Education from Belhaven College, Fuller also has an M.S. in Coaching from the National Coaching Institute of Canada. Coach Fuller's coaching credentials and experience are as extensive and diversified as his education. Fuller attained a "B" License from the Canadian Soccer Association in 1988 but also has a "C" license. He also attended the National Coaching Institute of Canadian High Performance Coaches Symposium in June of '87.
Fuller was an accomplished player, achieving NAIA All-American status as a defender and midfielder for Houghton College in 1979 and 1980. Fuller followed up a stellar collegiate career with a professional soccer career by being a First Draft Pick for the New York Eagles. Fuller also played professionally for the Rochester Flash, Memphis Americans, Sports Life and Jackson Rockers. Between 1979 and 1986, Fuller played in twenty-seven countries on eight different tours representing various organizations, including the United States.
The river of coaching experience and accolades runs deep for the 3-time NAIA Coach of the Year. Fuller is the only coach to garner NAIA National Coach of the Year honors at two different institutions; one in 1992 with Belhaven College and most recently his second with Mobile in 2002. With a career that includes winning an NAIA National championship with Belhaven in 1992 and taking Houghton College to the NAIA National Quarter Finals in 1994, Fuller arrived at Mobile in 1995 and in 2002 captured his second NAIA National Championship. Sporting a 243-72-20 career coaching record, Fuller now must take Mobile through a post-championship transition. With almost 15 new faces, Fuller will prepare his young squad to defend last season’s national title. With 38 of his athletes now playing professionally and new ones entering into the professional ranks each year, Peter Fuller will continue to add to his legacy as one of the most prolific coaches to ever grace the UM soccer field, not to mention the collegiate men's soccer coaching ranks.
Brian
Person

Assistant Soccer Coach,
University of Mobile
A 1998 University of Alaska-Fairbanks graduate with a B.S. in Exercise Science, Brian Person has helped mend Tittl’s wounded soldiers for the last four years. A collegiate player at Central Washington University and University of Mobile, Person also brings a great wealth of experience to UM's triumvirate of men's soccer coaches. A former starter at right back for the Rams, Brian has also played for the PDL Jackson Chargers in 1998 and 1999.
In May 2002, Brian earned his MBA from the University of Mobile with a 3.9 GPA. He is an active member of the NSCAA and has spent the last couple summers working with the regional Olympic Developmental Program.
Remi
Roy

Assistant Soccer Coach, University of Mobile
A native of New Brunswick, Canada, Remi is hands down the best goalkeeper to ever wear a University of Mobile uniform. Garnering All-American honors playing on the 1999 squad that lost in the national championship, Roy has spent time with the MLS Columbus Crew and has worked camps for them dealing exclusively with the goalkeepers. He has also played for the PDL Spokane Shadow, Jackson Chargers, and the Des Moines Menace. This past summer Roy served as the goalkeeping player/coach for the A-League Syracuse Salty Dogs. In addition he was the head coach for the PDL Syracuse Select. A consummate professional, Remi brings invaluable experience and knowledge of what it takes to be a very technically sound goalkeeper.
Remi is a graduate of the University of Mobile with a degree in Science and Physical Education. He has devoted nine years in playing for his Canadian province and has served as the UM goalkeeping coach since the fall of 2000.
Roy has a USSF “D”, a Level I and Level II goalkeeping licenses.
Joel Person

Assistant Soccer Coach, University of Mobile
A magna cum laude University of Mobile graduate in 2002, Joel
returns to UM as the men’s soccer graduate assistant coach. He brings
with him experience playing both at the collegiate level and for the PDL
(Player Development League), a semi-professional summer league that
boasts the top collegiate players in the country. In the PDL, Person
played for the Chicago Eagles (2001-2002), Mid-Michigan Bucks (2000),
and Jackson Chargers (1998-1999).
Joel played under Coach Fuller for four years,
including the 1999 team that finished runner-up in the NAIA National
Tournament. At the conclusion of his collegiate career, Person made the
decision to forego a professional career as a player and instead pursue
one as a coach. Having served as head and assistant coach at several
Mobile area high schools, Person was hired this past summer as the
UMS-Wright Head Men’s Soccer Coach.
Person, a four-year starting defender for UM, will help
orchestrate perhaps one of the best backfields ever in the program’s
history.
