The University of Mobile men’s tennis team bounced back from a 1-2 deficit after doubles play to take down Millsaps College 6-2. The Rams improve to 8-3 on the season. Alejandro Vial/ Guilherme Lorencon fell 5-8 and Gustavo Godoi/ Sam Perlmutter fell 5-8, but Shaun Wintzell/ Ricky Weghorst salvaged a win in doubles play with an 8-3 victory. In singles, Vial cruised 6-0, 6-0; Wintzell won 6-3, 6-3; Weghorst won 6-3, 5-4 (Default); Godoi held on 7-5, 7-6 (7-5), and Jesus Urmeneta rallied 4-6, 6-2 (10-5). The Rams host Tuskegee Wednesday, April 2nd at 2:00. |
