PENSACOLA, Fla-- The University of Mobile men's cross country team finished the Gulf Coast Stampede 8K run in 5th place Saturday morning.

The Rams finished with a time of 2:34:43, while host University of West Florida won the meet with a time of 2:16:09. One of the Rams key Gulf Coast Athletic Conference foes, Xavier, finished one spot above Mobile with a time of 2:27:55.

Michael Sinkey continued his impressive freshman season with Mobile by pacing the Rams with a 16th-place finish and a time of 28:38. Dennis Kimeli clocked in at 29:11 to finish 20th, and Daniel Gardner ran to a 27th-place finish with a time of 31:26.

Eric Roberts finished 29th with a time of 32:41, Jeffrey Caviness finished 30th at 32:47, Christopher Rhodes finished 31st at 33:04, Josh Stodghill finished 32nd at 33:31, and John Fincher finished 43rd at 45:30.

The Rams next run October 18th at the Coach O Cross Country Invitational at Troy.
