CLINTON, Miss—The University of Mobile men’s cross country team finished 3rd at the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championships Saturday, and Michael Sinkey and Dennis Kimeli finished high enough to earn a spot in the 2008 NAIA National Championship. The Rams finished 3rd in the 8K event with a team time of 2:32:01.29 behind Champion Xavier and Spring Hill College. Sinkey finished 3rd individually with a time of 28:00.74, while Kimeli came in at 4th with a time of 28:03.99. They advance to Nationals because the Top-3 individual finishers after the winning team also get a spot in the field.
