The OCU Stars showed everyone why they are ranked #1 in the NAIA, as they scored multiple runs in every inning to run away with a 16-0 victory after 5.
Julie Harvey got the win with 3 innings of 1-hit work, while striking out 3. Sarah Warren took the loss for the Lady Flames.
Amanda Howard and Brittany Ellis led the Stars' attack at the plate. Howard went 2-for-4 with a grand slam, while Ellis collected 3 hits in 4 plate appearances and drove in a pair. The Stars are 9-5 on the season.
Game 2:
Oklahoma City Beats Grandview
The OCU Stars defeated Grandview by a 5-1 score Saturday. The Stars plated 3 runs in the 1st inning and 2 in the 5th frame to pick up the win.
Mindy Crabaugh and Katie Carroll had doubles in the game for the Stars. Julie Harvey was the winning pitcher.
