Peter Fuller
Head
Coach Peter Fuller begins his 11th season at Mobile this coming year
and it is safe to say that with a 271-83-21 career coaching record,
Coach Fuller has established himself as one of the premeire coaches
in the country.
Fuller
earned a B.A. in Religion from Bethany Bible College and a B.S. in
Physical Education from Belhaven College. He has an M.S. in
Coaching from the National Coaching Institute of Canada, however,
his coaching credentials and experience are as extensive and diversified
as his education. Fuller attained a "B" License from the Canadian
Soccer Association in 1988 but also has a "C" license. He also attended
the National Coaching Institute of Canadian High Performance Coaches
Symposium in June of 1987.
Fuller
was an accomplished player, achieving NAIA All-American status as
a defender and midfielder for Houghton College in 1979 and 1980.
Fuller followed up a stellar collegiate career with a professional
soccer career by being a First Draft Pick for the New York Eagles.
Fuller also played professionally for the Rochester Flash, Memphis
Americans, Sports Life and Jackson Rockers. Between 1979 and 1986,
Fuller played in twenty-seven countries on eight different tours
representing various organizations, including the United States.
The
river of coaching experience and accolades runs deep for the three-time
NAIA Coach of the Year. Fuller is the only coach to garner NAIA National
Coach of the Year honors at two different institutions; one in 1992
with Belhaven College and most recently his second with Mobile in
2002. With a career that includes winning an NAIA National championship
with Belhaven in 1992 and taking Houghton College to the NAIA National
Quarter Finals in 1994, Fuller arrived at Mobile in 1995 and in 2002
captured his second NAIA National Championship. |
