Lady Rams Improve To 21-4 With Wins
ALEXANDRIA, La-- The 10th-ranked University of Mobile softball team swept Monday's double header at LSU-Alexandria, 11-5 and 7-2.
Leslie Pickette (14-0) scattered 9 hits over 7 innings of work while fanning 6 to pick up the win for Mobile in the opener. The Lady Rams' bats went off for 11 runs on 12 hits, led by Jineth Pimentel and Desiree Truett. Pimentel finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, a homer and 5 RBI, while Truett finished 2-for-3.
In the finale, Mindy Scott (3-0) picked up the win with 7 innings of 7 hit ball. She fanned 3 and allowed a pair of runs. Pimentel again led the way at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double, a homer and 2 RBI. Abby Campbell finished 2-for-5 for the Lady Rams.
Mobile (21-4, 2-0) returns to Gulf Coast Athletic Conference play when they visit Spring Hill College Saturday, March 28th for a noon double header.
