Mobile, Ala. – University of
Moible's Kirby Baxter was named the NAIA National Softball
Pitcher of the Week, for the week ending March 23, 2003.
Baxter was 4-0 on the week, pitching 19
innings with no earned runs. She also recorded 17 strikeouts
while allowing only 9 hits, and yielding only one walk against
Spring Hill College (Ala.), Huntington College (Ind.), William
Woods University (Mo.) and Albright College (Conn.). With a 6-1
record on the week, the Rams are now 27-3 for the year..
Baxter, a freshman form Silas, Alabama, is 14-0 on the season
and has an overall era of 0.42.
