Rams take two from Crusaders

HATTIESBURG, Miss. -- Denisse Fuenmayor drove in six runs as fourth-ranked University of Mobile (40-6) blanked William Carey College 10-0 and 8-0 in a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep Thursday afternoon in Hattiesburg, Miss.

With the two wins, Mobile sweeps the season series with the Lady Crusaders 4-0 outscoring their opponenet 41-0 in the process.

Fuenmayor had four hits and three RBI to back winning pitcher Anne McLean (15-2) in the opener.  McLean allowed three hits and struck out two in six innings.

Fuenmayor added two more hits and three RBI in the night cap.  Linden Jones (8-1) also allowed three hits and three walks and struck out four in five innings.

Stephanie Landrum picked up two hits, three RBI and scored two runs.

Mobile will play at Louisiana College on Tuesday in a 2:00 p.m. doubleheader.
