2008 Gulf Coast Invitational

MOBILE, Ala-- The Lady Rams 2008 Gulf Coast Invitational will take place in Orange Beach on March 14-16 and feature many top NAIA softball teams.

Eight of the 18 teams in the field finished the season ranked in the final NAIA poll. Oklahoma City (#2), Lee University (#7), Shorter College (#9), St. Gregorys (#10), Mobile (#12), Thomas University (#13), Savannah College of Arts & Design (15) and Spring Hill (#28) will be among the teams battling for top honors.

The first 7 of those teams all earned bids to the 2007 NAIA National Tournament, as did Gulf Coast Invitational participant Columbia College.
