Lady Rams Face Tough Foes in 2007

MOBILE, Ala—The University of Mobile volleyball team released their 2007 schedule that features a home-opener versus the University of South Alabama on August 28th.

Overall, the schedule features 23 regular-season road matches and 7 home matches.

The 2006 regular-season Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Champions will play in 5 tournaments, which will offer some stiff competition.

At the Lee University Tournament on September 14-15, the Lady Rams will face Lee University, Berry College and Emory University. Lee and Berry finished 2006 ranked in the NAIA Top-25, while Emory is a NCAA Div. III affiliate that went 28-11 in 2006.

Later in the year, Mobile will travel to Georgetown, KY to face Georgetown College, Savannah College of Arts & Design, and Bellevue University at the Georgetown College Tournament October 26-27. Georgetown and SCAD both earned trips to the 2006 NAIA National Tournament, and Bellevue finished at #19 in the final NAIA Top-25.

Aside from the tournaments home and away matchups with fellow GCAC members Loyola, Spring Hill, Dillard and Belhaven also dot the schedule.

Overall the 24 teams on the schedule, combined to go 437-374 in 2006, which equates to a .539 winning percentage.
