Lady Rams Honored For Academic Excellence

MOBILE, Ala—The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the 2006-07 NAIA Scholar Teams Monday, and the University of Mobile volleyball team made the list.

This year, over 400 teams made the list by combining to earn at least a 3.0 grade point average. The Lady Rams earned a 3.14 collectively, to garner the honor.

The award puts the stamp on a breakthrough season for the Lady Rams, with victories on and off the court. Mobile’s on-court triumphs saw the team compile a 31-7 record and take home the Regular Season Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championships in the program’s second season of competition.
