Lady Rams Move Win-Streak to 9

Day 2:

LEBANON, Tenn—The University of Mobile volleyball team continued its dominant play by finishing up the final day of the Cumberland University Tournament with a 2-0 mark.

The Lady Rams beat the host team 3-1 (36-34, 30-23, 27-30, 30-20) and then turned around and finished the weekend with a 3-0 (30-25, 30-22, 30-21) victory over Shawnee State University.

“We definitely blocked really well and we picked up our defense,” Head Coach Jon Campbell said. “That helped control the matches.”

The pair of victories move the Lady Rams to 13-2 on the season and increase their current win-streak to 9. Despite the solid record, Campbell knows that there is still more to do.

“This is definitely another step in where we are heading,”Campbell said. “But, we still have a lot more left to accomplish, and must keep moving forward.”

Mobile will look to continue onward when they host Gulf Coast Athletic Conference foe Loyola University Tuesday, September 25th at 7:30 pm.

Day 1:

LEBANON, Tenn-- The University of Mobile volleyball team extended its win streak to 7 games, with a pair of victories on the opening day of the Cumberland University Tournament.

The Lady Rams opened play by taking down University of Rio Grande (OH) 3-0 (30-16, 30-26, 30-14) and then turned around and kept momentum going by beating Lambuth University 3-0 (30-21, 32-30, 30-14).

Mobile, which received 20 votes in this week's NAIA Top-25, will finish the tournament with a pair of matches Saturday, September 22nd. The Lady Rams will take on the host team, Cumberland University at 9:00 am and play Shawnee State at 11 am.

The pair of victories put the Lady Rams at 11-2 on the season.
