MOBILE, Ala – The University of Mobile volleyball team throttled Pensacola Christian College 3-0 (30-16, 30-5, 30-16) at home Tuesday night. The Lady Rams (17-2) actually trailed early in the opening game, 6-7, but went on a 9-0 run behind the serving of Nicole Stokes to pull away and take the opener. Mobile then cruised through game 2, and pulled away late in game 3 for the convincing victory. Remarkably, the Lady Rams had 4 players with an attack percentage of .500 or better in Syretta Baldwin, Paula Stilkey, Cassy Johnson and Whitney Knight. Knight and Stilkey led the way with 15 and 14 kills, respectively, while Baldwin added 10 and Johnson finished with 8. Stilkey also added 16 digs and 7 blocks for Mobile. Nicole Stokes and Tasha Buchanan did the setting, finishing with 23 and 21 assists, respectively. The win is Mobile’s 13th consecutive victory, and the Lady Rams next play at Dillard University, Tuesday October 9th at 7:00 pm.
