Whitney Knight Honored Again

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile's Whitney Knight was named the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference and Region XIII Volleyball Player of the Week, as announced Wednesday.

Knight, who's beginning to become a regular winner, helped lead the Lady Rams to a 3-0 mark on the week, while racking up an impressive 5.10 kills per game. She finished with 51 kills over the 3 matches.

The sophomore also averaged over 4 digs per game for a total of 41, as she racked up a double-double in all 3 matches on the week. In the week's action, the Lady Rams defeated Southern Wesleyan, Belhaven, and Faulkner University.

Mobile is 26-2 on the season and riding a 22-match win streak. The Birmingham, AL native finished with a hitting percentage of .306 and served up 3 aces for the Lady Rams.

Mobile travels to Kentucky this weekend to compete in the Georgetown College Tournament Friday and Saturday.
