Lady Rams improve to 29-3 on the season

MOBILE, Ala-- A standout performance from Whitney Knight leads the University of Mobile Lady Rams' volleyball team over the Faulkner University Eagles 23-30, 30-27, 30-27, 30-23 Tuesday night at home.

Knight, a freshman from Birmingham, Alabama, dominated the match with 31 kills for the Lady Rams; 21 more than the next highest total. After Mobile dropped the first game, Knight came through with 11 kills and 6 digs in game #2 to help tie the match and set the team up for victory. The freshman outside hitter also finished with 15 digs on the match.

Syretta Baldwin chipped in with 5 digs and 10 kills, while Paula Stilkey just missed double-digits with 9 kills of her own. Mobile is now 29-3 on the season, with only a match at Spring Hill on November 4th at 7:30 left on the regular season schedule.

The two weekend following that match will see the Lady Rams in the GCAC Tournament and then The Region XIII Tournament looking for a bid to the NAIA National Championships.
