Pair of Lady Rams Earn Honors

MOBILE, Ala-- Terri McCreadie was named Women's Soccer Player of the Week and Syretta Baldwin was named Volleyball Player of the Week as announced by the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

McCreadie and the Lady Rams played only 2 games last week, splitting the contests. But, the victory was big and McCreadie played a big part in it. Mobile defeated Belhaven 2-1 to advance to the GCAC Semifinals, and McCreadie scored the game-winner with 1:59 left on the clock and the Lady Rams playing two players short.

Baldwin and the UM volleyball team went 3-2 on the week, and Baldwin had another standout week in pacing the Lady Rams' offensive attack. The junior netted double-digit kills in 4 of the 5 matches and tallied 2 double-doubles. One of those double-doubles was a 14 kills, 12 dig effort in a 3-1 win over #21 SCAD. She also picked up 22 kills against Bellevue and Olivet Nazarene.

The women's soccer team saw their season end at #14 William Carey in the semifinals, while the Lady Rams are 29-4 on the season and host West Florida Monday, November 5th at 8:00 pm.
