MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile's Paula Stilkey was named the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week, and the Lady Rams received 16 votes in the latest NAIA Top-25 poll to place them at #27.

Stilkey and the Lady Rams only played 1 match last week, but it was a 3-0 victory over Spring Hill that clinched an undefeated regular season in conference play for Mobile.

In that contest, Stilkey picked up 12 kills, 8 digs, 3 aces and 1 block to pace the Lady Rams. Also, Stilkey made the most of her chances, racking up a hitting percentage of .500.

The Lady Rams (30-4) doubled their votes from 8 to 16 in the latest NAIA poll, and it doesn't even factor in one of the biggest wins of the season for Mobile. That came Monday, November 5th when they defeated NCAA Div II #25 West Florida 3-2.

Mobile is 5 votes behind Hastings (Neb.), and 7 behind #25 Savannah College of Arts & Design, despite the fact that Mobile beat SCAD earlier this year at the Georgetown College Tournament.

Mobile next plays at the GCAC Tournament this Friday-Saturday, before hosting the Region XIII Tournament next weekend.
