Lady Rams Remain In Top-25

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released the latest Tachikara-NAIA Volleyball Coaches’ Top-25 Poll, and the University of Mobile remained in the poll, falling one spot to No. 23.

The Lady Rams are 30-3 on the season and 7-1 in GCAC action, having dropped their first conference match of the season at Loyola on Nov. 4 when the Lady Wolfpack rallied for a five-set victory.

It is the 9th-straight week for the Lady Rams in the poll, with their highest ranking achieved being No. 18.  Mobile received 181 points in the poll, 40 behind 22nd-ranked Doane (Neb.) and 15 more than 24th-ranked Walsh (Ohio).

The Lady Rams are 0-1 on the year against teams in the current Top-25, loss to #20 Campbellsville, but have dominated against teams receiving votes in the poll. There are 19 teams receiving votes after the Top-25 and Mobile has gone 8-0 against those clubs, having beaten Freed-Hardeman, Webber International, King, Berry, Lee and Indiana Wesleyan.

While done with the regular season, the Lady Rams have plenty of work left to do. Mobile will travel to New Orleans Nov. 15 for the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Tournament at Loyola University. Mobile is the top seed in the tournament and the winner gets an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
