UM Lady Rams garner Player of the Week honors

MOBILE, Ala-- The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced the latest GCAC volleyball player, setter and libero of the week Tuesday.

University of Mobile's Whitney Knight won Player of the Week honors, Nicole Stokes earned Setter of the Week honors, and Jill Campbell was named Libero of the Week.

Knight had 32 kills, 85 total attacks and 37 digs as Mobile defeated Spring Hill College 3-0 and lost to Belhaven College 2-3 in the GCAC Conference Tournament. She collected 27 digs in the finals against Belhaven. Whitney is a freshman outside hitter from Birmingham, Alabama. She was also chosen as the Region XIII player of the week.

Nicole Stokes of the University of Mobile is the volleyball setter of the week. Stokes had 42 assists and 21 digs as Mobile defeated Spring Hill College 3-0 and lost to Belhaven College 2-3 in the GCAC Conference Tournament. Nicole is a freshman setter from Mobile, Alabama.

The volleyball libero of the week is Jill Campbell of the University of Mobile. Campbell had 29 digs and 2 aces as Mobile defeated Spring Hill College 3-0 and lost to Belhaven College 2-3 in the GCAC Conference Tournament. The dig total includes 23 in the championship game. Jill is a sophomore libero from Theodore, Alabama.
