UM Volleyball Places 4 on All-Region Team

MOBILE, Ala-- The outstanding 2007 season that the University of Mobile volleyball team has turned in, continues to bring in honors for the team.

After dominating the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference awards, the Lady Rams have done the same with the Region XIII All-Region Team.

Whitney Knight, Syretta Baldwin, Paula Stilkey and Nicole Stokes were selected to the honorary team, while Knight was named the Player of the Year. Rams' Head Coach Jon Campbell was selected the Coach of the Year for the 2nd Consecutive Season.

Knight has put up 623 kills on the season for an average of 4.48 kills per game to lead Mobile. She has also chipped in with 437 digs for an average of 3.14 per game.

Baldwin averaged 3.87 kills per game for the Lady Rams and has a hitting percentage of .327. Stilkey has 418 kills, 417 digs and 165 blocks for Mobile.

Stokes averaged 7.21 assists per game for Mobile to rack up 1,009 assists on the season, while also serving up 68 aces and picking up 350 digs.

The Lady Rams will continue their season at the NAIA National Tournament beginning November 28th when they take on Biola (Calif.) at 1:30 pm.
