Assistant
Volleyball Coach
Amber Campbell
Amber Campbell, who graduated from the University of the Cumberlands in 2004 with a degree in public health, is really an assistant coach in name only. Her various duties indicate an involvement level usually reserved for head coaches.
Campbell is actively involved in planning and coordinating practices, while she also designs and implements the weight training program for the team. She works closely with the team's setters during games and practices, and joins with husband and head coach Jon Campbell for game management and overseeing statisticians.
Campbell adds 9 seasons of head coaching experience to this husband-and-wife duo and has committed to training life skills and developing good character in players while improving their volleyball ability. She works through USA Volleyball where she has attained IMPACT and CAP I certification.
Since moving to Mobile in 2005, Campbell has become actively involved in the Gulf Coast chapter of USA Volleyball through Club Bomba, a local volleyball club with teams ages 10-18. She also conducts a Training Team Program that is designed to develop players that are unable to travel with club volleyball.
The Campbells welcomed their first child, Jovie Nicole Campbell, into the world in June of 2008.
