GCAC play begins on Thursday evening against Dillard University

AVON PARK, Fla. -- The University of Mobile men's and women's basketball teams will tip-off conference play on Thursday night with both teams set to face Dillard University.  The women's team will begin the doubleheader at 5:30 p.m. and the men's team will play immediately following at approximatley 7:30 p.m.

The women's team is off to a 9-3 start to their season and snuck into the NAIA Top 25 poll this week for the first time all season at No. 25.  The Rams have defeated three NAIA Top 10 opponents this season and one one NCAA Division I opponent with their 59-57 win over Nicholls State University back on Nov. 30.

Crystal Coston leads the Rams with 19.7 points per game and 10.7 rebounds a contest.

The men's team is also off to a hot start at 11-3 on the year.  The Rams have scored 100 or more points in their past three games, however they have not been in action since the team's 108-60 win over Cincinnati Christian University back on Dec. 18.

Senior Tramaine Perry leads Mobile with 16.4 points per game.
