Mobile hits the road to face Loyola University

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Both the University of Mobile men's and women's basketball teams will put their perfect 2-0 conference record on the line tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 10 when the two teams travel to New Orleans, La., to take on Loyola University in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action.

The Rams' men's team (13-3, 2-0) is coming off a 69-55 victory over William Carey College at home on Saturday night in Pharr Gymnasium.

Rams’ center, Gimel Lewis, led Mobile with 22 points while Tramaine Perry’s 13 and Gabe Feagin’s 12 rounded out the Rams double digit scoring.

Mobile will be looking for their eighth win in a row when they face Loyola in their first road conference game of the year.

The women's team (11-3, 2-0) got a 35 point, 10 rebound performance from junior Crystal Coston in their 86-70 win over William Carey College Saturday night at home.

The Lady Rams have won eight of their last nine games as they head into their matchup with Loyola on Monday night.
