MOBILE, Ala. --No. 15 Mobile survived a difficult start and 15-point deficit to claim a GCAC win at Pharr Gymnasium.

" The first half was a nightmare," Mobile head coach Martha Gore-Algernon said. "We did nothing the first 17 minutes of the game that we talked about doing. But we made a run at the end of the half and that gave us a lift going into halftime."

That lift carried over to the second half when Mobile (19-6, 10-3) grabbed control and picked up its 10th home win of the season.

As usual, the post play of Crystal Coston and Kinga Rybarczyk led the way. Coston scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds with Rybarczyk scoring 21 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Kelli Manning scored 16 points, with Laura Davis adding 10. Mobile played without the services of its lone senior, point guard Jessica Barber, who suffered a torn ACL in a game last Saturday.

LSU-Shreveport (9-17, 3-11) was led by Renalda Stafford's 15 points.
