Rams survive road test at Tougaloo College
JACKSON, Miss. -- The University of Mobile women's basketball team (20-6,
11-3) survived a close road test against a feisty Tougaloo College squad
escaping with a 72-64 win Monday night in Jackson, Mississippi.
Tied at 34-all at halftime, the Rams outscored the Lady Bulldogs 38-30
in the second half behind 22 points from Kinga Rybarczyk and an 18 points,
10 rebound performance from Rheonda Leary.
Leary was 9-of-14 from the floor and dished out four assists in 28 minutes
of action. Rybarczyk scored 22 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the floor
as the Rams picked up win number 20 on the season.
Mobile will next be in action on Thursday, Feb. 17 when the Rams return
to Jackson for a showdown with Belhaven College. Mobile defeated Belhaven
86-67 in their first meeting back on Jan. 13.
