UM Women Survive with Thrilling 78-76 Victory over SUNO

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Five Mobile players scored in double figures as the Rams completed a season sweep of Southern University-New Orleans (SUNO) with a thrilling 78-76 victory Thursday night over the Lady Knights at The Castle in New Orleans, La. 

Sherie Lattimore scored 20 points to lead the way for the Rams while Jessica Barber pitched in with 14 points.  Sasha Lilly and Kinga Rybarczyk each added 11 and Crystal Coston scored 10 points to go along with a game-high seven rebounds. 

Andrea Goodspeed scored 35 points, 25 of which came in the first half alone for the Lady Knights who had a chance to tie on a last second shot that fell just short.

The Rams improve to 10-7 in conference play and remain all alone in third place behind Xavier University and Dillard University.

Mobile will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 28 against cross-town rival Spring Hill College in the final regular season game of the year.  The Rams lost to Spring Hill 72-60 in their only other meeting this season back on Jan. 31.
