Coston, Rybarczyk receive post-season honors

MOBILE, Ala. -- Crystal Coston, a junior from Thomasville, Ala., was named to the NAIA All America Second Team the NAIA National Office announced on Thursday.

Also named to the Kodak NAIA All-America First Team just last week, Coston broke both the school’s single season highest scoring average per game with 19.4 points a contest and the single season record for rebound average per game, breaking her own record of 9.8 rebounds a game set in 2002-03 by grabbing a whopping 11.1 per contest in 2004-05.

Coston, who helped lead her team to the 2005 NAIA National Tournament, also broke the school’s all-time scoring record this season on Feb. 19 when she scored 31 points against No. 11 Xavier University in an 85-81 upset win.

Coston is also second on the school’s all-time rebounding list just 38 rebounds shy of Olivia Crawford’s current record of 1,011 rebounds, third in field goals made and third in field goals attempted.

Kinga Rybarczyk, a junior from Poznan, Poland, was named as a NAIA Women’s Basketball All-America Scholar-Athlete.

Rybarczyk, who averaged, 16.1 points a game and 8.8 rebounds per contest this season on the court, also maintained a GPA higher than 3.5 this semester in the classroom.

Rybarczyk is an Accounting major.

The Rams finished the season with a 25-9 overall record and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament.
