of Mobile women’s basketball signs shooting guard
MOBILE,
Ala. – Sandra Kostandinovic, a 5’7” shooting guard from The Patterson
School in Patterson, N.C., signed to play basketball at the University
of Mobile head coach Martha Gore-Algernon announced on Friday afternoon.
Kostandinovic
averaged nine points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals a
game in 16 minutes of action playing for the no. 1-ranked prep school
in North Carolina. The Patterson School for which Kostandinovic
played, finished the season 26-1 and featured 10 Division I signees
this season.
“To get
a player of her caliber is very exciting and great news for our program,” Algernon
said. “Her numbers are very good and could have been even better
but she was surrounded by such good talent.”
Kostandinovic
is a native of Belgrade, Serbia.
