Rams to host AUM in women’s hoops

MOBILE, Ala. -- The University of Mobile women’s basketball (4-2) team, fresh off their upset win last week against NCAA Division I opponent Nicholls State University, will host Auburn University Montgomery tonight at home at 6 p.m.

In their last game, the Rams used an 8-0 run over the last two and a half minutes to pull off the upset 59-57 over Nicholls State.

The Rams have already faced AUM once this season losing a heartbreaker 58-56 back on Nov. 13 in Montgomery.

Despite a 25 point, 12 rebound effort by the Rams’ Crystal Coston in their last meeting, the Rams were unable to put away AUM dropping just their second game of the year.

The Senators (8-2) are led by Monica Diamond at 12.2 points per game and Jessica Weathers at 11.7 points per game.

Mobile’s Coston is averaging a whopping 18.3 points per game while averaging 11.8 rebounds a contest.

AUM leads the overall series 24-6.
