Rams upset No. 5 Freed-Hardeman
MOBILE, Ala. -- The University of Mobile women’s basketball
(7-2) team upset No. 5-ranked Freed-Hardeman 76-70 Tuesday afternoon
in game two of the Port City Classic on the Spring Hill College
Classic.
Crystal Coston scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds in
leading her team to the six point victory. Coston is averaging
20 points and 10.8 rebounds a game and has scored over 20 points
in each of the last four games.
The Rams shot a season-high 65.9 percent (30-of-46) from the
field for the game and outrebounded Freed-Hardeman 40-23.
Kinga Rybarczyk chipped in with 18 points and freshman
Sandra Kostandinovic scored 15 points in roudning out the Rams
double-digit scorers.
Mobile improves to 7-2 and will next be in action at home on
Monday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. against No. 7 Georgetown College. After
Monday's game, the Rams will take a three week break before returning
for conference play on Jan. 6 aginst Dillard University.
