Women Finish 9th To Begin 2009 Spring Season
CALERA, Ala—The University of Mobile women’s golf team finished in 9th place at the Ann Rhoads Shootout, hosted by Birmingham Southern.
The Lady Rams carded a 144-over-par 712 in the two-round event, while St. Leo University won the tournament with a 77-over-park 645.
Maegan Rice followed up an opening round 83 with a final-round 78 to finish in a three-way tie for 11th at 19-over-par 161. Erika Lundberg fired an opening-round 79 and a final-round 86 to finish 18th at 165.
Taylor Lee carded a 191 and Abbie Harris finished with a 195 to round out the University of Mobile performers.
Round 1 Of Ann Rhoads Shootout
CALERA, Ala—The University of Mobile women’s golf team is competing at the Ann Rhoads Shootout in their first match of the 2009 Spring Season.
The Lady Rams are in 9th place out of eleven teams after round one of the event, hosted by Birmingham Southern.
Mobile shot 70-over-par in the opening round with a 354, while Berry College is in 1st place with a 323. Erika Lundberg paced Mobile by firing an 8-over-par 79 to tie for 6th on the individual leader board.
Two-time NAIA All-American Maegan Rice shot an opening round 83 to place 15th, while Taylor Lee carded a 93. Abbie Harris rounded out the Mobile golfers with a 99 on day one.
