Lady Rams golf team places 20th

The University of Mobile Lady Rams golf team placed 20th at the Ann Rhoads/ Birmingham Southern Shootout.

The 2-day event saw Mobile finish 20th amongst the competition with a stroke total of 674, after firing a collective 337 on both days. Host school, Birmingham Southern took top honors amonst the schools with a shot total of 600.

Maegan Rice was Mobile's top performer, finishing 25 in the individual category with a total of 157, after firing a solid 75 in the first round of play.

Lady Rams tennis falls 3-6

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's tennis team dropped a 3-6 match at Spring Hill Tuesday afternoon for their first loss of the season.

Lindsey McDaniel and Maria Aguiree teamed up for an 8-5 doubles victory, while Josey Soares and Pam Boykin teamed up for the other UM doubles victory, also of the 8-5 variety. Spring Hill took the other 3 doubles matches.

On the singles side of things, Soares won 6-2, 6-0; McDaniel fell 4-6, 1-6; Boykin fell 1-6, 2-6; Aguirre fell 3-6, 5-7; Camilla Hovden lost 3-6, 2-6; and Michelle Machen lost 2-6, 2-6. Mobile hosts University of Montevallo March 10th at 9:00 AM. The Lady Rams are 3-1 on the year.
