March 5-6, 2007 UM Women's Golf team takes 6th in 2nd Spring Event SAVANNAH, Ga-- The University of Mobile Lady Rams finished 6th at the SCAD Spring Invitational. Mobile finished with a 2-round total of 666, 21 strokes behind 1st place Embry-Riddle's 645. Maegan Rice continued her stellar play, finishing 6 strokes off the individual lead with a combined total of 159 after firing a 79 on day 1 and finishing with an 80. Kelly Rainbolt was only 8 strokes behind the individual leader after shooting a 79 and 82 to finish with a combined total of 161. Samantha Goettsch tied for 23rd with a 168, while Carlie Bloomer shot a 178 over the 2-day event hosted by Savannah College of Arts & Design. The Lady Rams are ranked #7 in the initial Spring NAIA Top-25 poll and will host the UM Spring Fling on March 11-13. -30- Click
