Women's golf announces schedule changes

MOBILE, Ala. -- The University of Mobile women's golf team announced their 2005 fall schedule on Monday after the original schedule had to be changed due to Hurricane Katrina.

The Rams, who were previously scheduled to open up play today against Nicholls State University in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, will now begin play on Friday, Sept. 30 in a three day tournament at Western Carolina University in Waynesville, North Carolina.

Three weeks later, the Rams will head to Rome, Georgia to compete against Berry College on Oct. 17-18.  On Oct. 30-Nov. 1, Mobile will head to St. Augustine, Florida to face Flagler College before rounding out their fall schedule on Nov. 12-14 in the UM Fall Classic played at Azalea City Golf Course in Mobile.

Head coach Maggie Kendall begins her first year as the women's golf coach after taking over for former women's golf coach Dr. Terry Hopper in May of 2005.  Dr. Hopper will remain coaching the men's golf team in 2005-06.
