Brian Person Named Head Coach of Lady Rams Soccer

MOBILE, Ala—The University of Mobile has announced that Brian Person will take over as the head coach of the women’s soccer program.

“I feel very blessed to be asked to lead a program that has such historic success, and is known nationally, as well as internationally,” Person said.

Person, who serves as assistant athletic director, has worked with the university’s soccer programs since 1999. That time includes 3 seasons as a graduate assistant with men’s soccer and 6 seasons as assistant coach of the men’s and women’s soccer programs. The last 4 years have been focused on women’s soccer.

That time served as an assistant with the program will give Person an advantage as opposed to having to start over with an outsider.

“It’s an easier transition for the players and me because I’ve been involved with the program,” Person said. “I will continue to bring what I have brought before, along with some additional recruiting contacts I’ve been able to make.”

The move came after Uwe Tittl stepped down as head coach of the women’s soccer program to lead both tennis programs.

“Coach Tittl has done a great job with the program and I hope I can continue that,” Person said.
