Lady Rams Ink Local Product

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team signed MGM High School product Casey Mims for the 2008-09 soccer season.

Mims is expected to play either forward or outside back for the Lady Rams, and Head Coach Brian Person knows what he is getting, as he coached Mims in youth soccer for a couple of years.

"She is someone that possesses tremendous work ethic and attitude," Person said. "And because she comes from MGM, which is one of the best programs in the state, she'll come in more prepared than most local players."

Some of the skills that Mims possesses were shown this season, when she and her teammates beat Fairhope in the 1st round of the State Playoffs for the first time in school history.

"We are looking for her to improve rapidly and make our team more competitive for playing time," Person said. "I look forward to the player she is going to become."
