Lady Rams Soccer Finds Offense and a Win

ROCHESTER, NY-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season Friday night, with a 2-1 victory over Roberts Wesleyan College.

After getting blanked in the first 2 games of the season, the Lady Rams wasted little time in scoring, as Cheryl Edgar broke the drought with a goal at the 8:58 mark off of a corner kick. Roberts Wesleyan answered 17 minutes later when Ani Zdrojewski took a Laura Willit corner kick and knocked it home.

The score stayed at 1-1 into the 2nd half, when reigning NAIA All-American Terri McCreadie took the ball herself and put home the decisive goal at the 62:13 mark to move Mobile's record to 1-2 on the season. The Lady Rams will stay in Rochester one more day and take on Houghton College Saturday at 6:00 pm.

Susanne Klungtveit had 5 saves in goal for the Lady Rams, while Mobile finished with a 10-7 edge in shots on goal.
