Mobile Women Fall 2-0 At West Florida

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's soccer team had to play with no substitutes Wednesday night, and fell 2-0 at the University of West Florida.

With no subs, the Lady Rams were forced to try and control the ball and play defense, but the Lady Argos got just enough scoring to pick up the "W" and send Mobile to 1-6 on theseason. The first goal from UWF came from a familiar face to the Lady Rams.

Dernelle Mascall, who played at Mobile last season, received a feed just outside the box and danced her way through 3 Mobile defenders before knocking home the shot at 17:15 in the first half. The Lady Argos' second goal of the contest came 52:25 into the game, when Naila Owens knocked home a rebound that was set up by a Mascall feed.

The fresh Lady Argos, who were able to use 8 subs, out-shot the Lady Rams 22-2 and held a 9-2 edge in shots on goal. Susanne Klungtveit came away with 7 saves for Mobile, while Anna Ellingsen and Kathryn Howard provided the only 2 scoring attempts for the Lady Rams.

Mobile next plays Friday, September 14th at Auburn-Montgomery. The game is slated to kickoff at 2:00 pm.
