Lady Rams earn conference honors

MOBILE, Ala-- The Gulf Coast Athletic Conference announced its yearly awards Friday and the Lady Rams were well-represented.

Senior midfielder Kelly Baltieri was named the GCAC Player of the Year, while fellow senior Rose Clemenson brought home Defensive Player of the Year honors. Both players were joined on the first-team by freshman Terri McCreadie, and Sunniva Haaland earned second-team honors despite missing 2 conference games.

Baltieri started and played in 9 conference games and finished with 7 goals and 3 assists. She also knocked home 2 game-winners for the Lady Rams. Clemenson served as the key cog in the Lady Rams backfield and found time to score 2 goals in conference matches.

McCreadie started all 11 games and finished with 7 goals and 5 assists from her forward position. Haaland finished conference play with 1 goal and 2 assists while playing midfield.

Mobile was bounced from the Region XIII semi-finals 3-0 at Lee University. Their final record on the season was 14-6.
