Head Women's Soccer Coach, University of Mobile

Entering his thirteenth season as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at the University of Mobile Rams, the five-time Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, and four-time Southwest Region Coach of the Year, Uwe Tittl anticipates great things for his team this season. Boasting an overall career record of 156-68-8, Coach Tittl is encouraged that the combination of his experience at directing the Rams to Conference, Regional, and National victories, coupled with the leadership of his upper classmen will be key in unlocking the potential of this year's young team.

Uwe began his coaching career in 1991 as the Assistant Coach for the men's soccer team at his alma mater Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia. There he had his first taste at coaching at the National Tournament, assisting Head Coach Bob Gray to the team's NAIA National Championship Final Four appearance. In 1992, he found his home here at the University of Mobile as the Women's Head Soccer Coach, and by his second year, he had been named the NAIA District 30 Coach of the Year, and led the 1993 team to the District 30 Championship. Since then, Coach Tittl has recruited and developed solid and effective teams that have had strong showings in the conference, regional, and NAIA National Tournament, accumulating numerous championships including the stellar 24-0-0 performance in 1997 that concluded with the Rams winning their first NAIA National Championship. In addition, Coach Tittl received national Coach of the Year honors from both the NAIA and NSCAA.

Lending his organizational and leadership skills to other programs, Uwe has been involved throughout the years with the Special Olympics Winter Games in Philippi, West Virginia, the Unified Special Olympics World Cup Soccer Games, and several University of Mobile, Bay Minette, and YMCA soccer camps. In addition, in 1995 Coach Tittl was Chair of the Umbro Select All Star Classic for NCAA Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, which he then coached the following two years. Furthermore, Coach Tittl has used his soccer knowledge and expertise serving in the past as Chair of the NSCAA Women's Soccer Association and NAIA/NSCAA All-America Committee, as well as President of the Women's NAIA Soccer Association.
When he's not engaging his time with coaching, directing, or coordinating soccer programs, Uwe enjoys other sporting activities including hunting, fishing, boating, and golf, as well as spending time with his two dogs Pepper and Morgan at his home in Daphne, Alabama.
