Women’s Soccer to Host
Division I Nicholls State
MOBILE, Ala. – The University of Mobile (2-1) will
host Division I Nicholls State (0-3) Saturday, September 6, at 6:00 p.m. in
the team’s home opener.
Mobile, which is coming off a thrilling 1-0 road
victory over cross-town rival Spring Hill College, has now won two games
in a row heading into the clash against the Colonels.
“Nicholls State is a Division I program,” said head
coach Uwe Tittl. “That means they are going to be a little bigger,
stronger, and faster than some of the competition we have faced in NAIA.
They are 0-3 this season with two overtime losses to good teams, so they
are going to be hungry and looking for a win.”
Last game out, the Rams got a goal from freshman Rose
Clemensen on a header off a corner kick from teammate Allison Miller. The
goal, which came in the 41st minute, proved to be enough as the
Rams held on for the 1-0 victory.
“We are playing really well right now,” said Tittl.
We just played a phenomenal game against Spring Hill. We just need to
play the best we can and hope for the best.”
