Women's Soccer to Host Spring Hill
College
MOBILE, Ala. --
The University of Mobile women's soccer team will play host to cross-town
rival Spring Hill College, tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m.
Mobile, which defeated Spring Hill 1-0 in their only other meeting of the
season, will look to improve upon their 3-4 record with the first of two
consecutive home games.
Rose Clemensen, the Rams leading goal scorer with five on the season,
scored the lone goal the last time these two met. Clemensen headed in a
corner kick from teammate Allison Miller in the 41st minute that proved to
be the game-winner.
Since that game, Spring Hill has rebounded with two wins improving their
overall record to 3-3 on the season. Last time these two met, the Rams
shut down the Badger offense limiting them to just four shots on goal.
“We came out with a good game-plan and stuck with it,” said Ram coach Uwe
Tittl. “The defense played incredible. They really kept us in the game all
night.”
Mobile is coming off two straight losses following a road trip to
Tennessee. UM lost 5-4 in double-overtime to Lambuth College and then 3-0
to Bethel College.
"This is a big game for us," said Tittl. "Our games with Spring Hill are
always a battle."
