Lady Rams Fall To #24 Xavier University
Xavier got off to a 2-1 start in doubles action when Dominique Bell-Anastashia Opata beat Josy Soares-Claudia Borges 8-1, Yuliem Dominguez-Colleen McArthur defeated Pam Boykin-Mayra Leal 8-4, and the Lady Rams' Michelle Machen-Camilla Hovden salvaged an 8-6 victory. In singles action, Mobile cruised to victory in the #3 and #5 slots, but Xavier took the rest to leave with the win. Soares fell to Bell 6-7 (1-7), 1-6, Boykin lost to Opata 3-6, 1-6, Borges defeated Dominguez 6-3, 6-1, and Machen fell to McArthur 0-6, 0-6. The Lady Rams fall to 7-3 overall and 4-2 in GCAC action. Mobile next plays Thursday, March 27th against Xavier at the University of New Orleans tennis facilites. The match will start at 3:00.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's tennis team entered Thursday's match versus 24th-ranked Xavier with a chance to move into first place in the GCAC, but Xavier held on for the 5-3 victory.
